Ah right! That's would explain it! There is guy on ig called @mihnea_turcu who is doing something similar in todays Romania. Also very beautiful. Always makes me wonder how these really poor undeveloped places have done so much better at keeping their culture and makes me.wonder about the meaning of the word "poor".
