Playlist #4 - Chinese Qin Music
quiet, intimate, subtle sounds from a 5,000 year old, seven-stringed folk instrument that became the quintessential expression of high culture in China
I was introduced to the Qin (Guqin) by the Daoist Liu Ming. He made a CD (!) for me sometime around 2002. Here are two of the tracks. The artist is Professor Li Gu.

To me it sounds somewhat like a cross between a harp and a guitar. And Laviana is absolutely right concerning the affinities and inspiration a la par with eastern spirituality that permeates this music.
