Seeds of Worship
from Mother Poems and A Crack in Time by Shambhavi Sarasvati at Kindred 108. We're all kindred here.
All forms of worship are worshipped by that one who is also the devotee of every worshipper. From the perspective of prayers borders are farce and origins cannot be told with ordinary words. Prayers are seeds that travel around. They don’t mind who speaks them with what accent or from where. They wait tenderly and bloom their scent gladly finding the gates of the heart even slightly ajar. All symbols are that one’s— all scriptures and all stories about the nature of beings and things. The living expanse emits infinite rays. Here in this crowded City of the Heart every meeting finds itself welcomed and at home.
