Hey! Welcome to
An alchemical brew of words and sounds from Hindu and Buddhist
nondual practice. Mixed by Shambhavi Sarasvati.
We're all kindred here.
Hi, I’m Shambhavi
I teach in the traditions of Trika Shaivism and Dzogchen at a nonprofit called Jaya Kula. You may have read my books or articles or listened to a podcast or three. You can find out more about me here.
I’ve only ever had one reason for writing about spiritual life: tell it like it is so others can feel encouraged and supported to continue on their path.
When we keep it real, we can discover natural devotion and wisdom. We can come home.
I publish every Saturday
Wake up your weekend! Essays, poems, chapters, playlists, recipes, and links to what I’m reading, seeing, and listening to.
And if you want more spontaneous, random communications from me, including inspiring quotes, check out my K108 Notes.
Why be a free subscriber to Kindred 108?
You get all the things I’m writing about animist, nondual life, including articles, poetry, and books I publish here.
You’ll be invited to K108 Zoom satsangs with me and community chats.
Why be a paid subscriber to Kindred 108?
K108 is offered freely. But if you value what’s happening here and feel moved to support me to continue, then, by all means, become a paid subscriber.
You’ll be my partner, helping me to pay the bills and keep writing. Making K108 happen is fun, but it’s also work.
You’ll be helping to deliver the K108 nourishment to other folks. That’s the best.
You’ll get free e-books! Only paid subscribers will be able to download my new books for free in Kindle and E-pub formats right here on K108 as they become available.
Whatever variety of subscription you choose, just know that I’m really glad you’re here. Wecome aboard!
with infinite love,
Shambhavi

Visit Jaya Kula
I teach at Jaya Kula, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization offering opportunities to learn and practice in the traditions of Trika Shaivism and Dzogchen. We are headquartered in Portland, Oregon.
My teaching schedule
I offer satsang every Sunday at 3:30pm Pacific and Morning Heart Worship, a livestreamed group practice every Tuesday at 7:30am Pacific. Throughout the year, there are many other teachings and ways that you can participate
Want to highlight K108 words and do things with them?
Substack now allows you to highlight any words and share them in your Notes feed. This is called “restacking.”
Paper and e-books allow us to highlight and take notes. You can do that with webpages now, too. Readwise and its companion read-it-later app, Reader, are great ways to highlight and save anything you find on a webpage. You can also save whole articles to the Reader app and highlight them and take notes. You’ll need to install the Readwise browser plugin in addition to signing up for Readwise.
